SESSÃO ESPECIAL “CINE-GREVE FEMINISTA”



Em Fevereiro, numa parceria conjunta entre PORTO FEMME e Shortcutz Porto , decidiu-se criar esta sessão especial “CINE-GREVE FEMINISTA”. Nesta sessão, o cinema a arma da luta que nos une à Rede 8 de Março – Greve Feminista Internacional.

Na última quarta-feira de cada mês, a tela dos Maus Hábitos exibirá ciclos temáticos nos quais o denominador comum é serem filmes realizados por mulheres. O objetivo é dar visibilidade ao trabalho da mulher no cinema, através da projeção das suas obras e, sempre que possível, da sua presença nas sessões, promovendo o encontro entre o público e as autoras.

A mãe, Antônia, segue as tradições das mulheres da sua família, fazendo e vendendo pão percorrendo grandes distâncias. Janaína, a filha de Antônia, segue os comandos duma mãe austera e enfrenta a submissão das suas frustrações. Ambas vivem com Jaime, um pescador local que molesta sexualmente, de forma velada, a sua mulher e a sua enteada. Neste contexto sufocante, impregnado de ingredientes sujos, essa mãe e filha tentam descobrir, à sua maneira, uma nova receita para a vida.

On the last Wednesday of each month, the Maus Hábitos will screen thematic cinema cycles in which the common denominator is films directed by women.
The objective is to give visibility to the work of women in the cinema, through the projection of their works and, whenever possible, their presence in the sessions, promoting the encounter between the public and the authors.

In February, in a joint partnership between PORTO FEMME and SHORTCUTZ PORTO, it was decided to create this special session " FEMINIST CINE-STRIKE". In this session, the cinema is the weapon of fight that unites us to Network March 8 - International Feminist Strike.

Synopsis: A riverside family composed by a mother, a daughter, and stepfather living in a rustic way, isolated on the coast of Brazil; in an environment with dunes, river, and sea.
The mother, Antônia, follows the tradition of the women of her family, making and selling bread, travelling long distances. Janaína, Antônia’s daughter, follows the commands of her severe mother and endures the subjugation of her frustrations. They both live with Jaime, a local fisherman who sexually molests, in a veiled way, his wife and his stepdaughter. In this suffocating context, imbued with filthy ingredients, mother and daughter try to discover, on their way, a new recipe for life.
